HEIDI’s BIER BAR
BRINGING THE ALPS TO THE UK
During my time at REKOM in 2022, I was part of the launch of Heidi’s Bier Bar, an après-ski themed venue that followed shortly after the opening of Proud Mary. Over the next two years, I worked on a wide range of creative projects, including flyers and posters, to large-scale applications such as LED perimeter boards for Cardiff Rugby Club. The first site opened in Cardiff and later expanded to Birmingham.
I took the lead on the creative direction, working closely with the Nordic team to adapt their design vision for a UK audience. Communication was a key part of the process, as I provided regular updates to stakeholders and collaborated with external contractors to ensure consistency and clarity at every stage.
The original Nordic brand relied heavily on stock imagery, but I shifted the creative towards bespoke design elements and authentic venue photography to give the brand a stronger and more genuine identity. Seeing the project completed in person, with my work integrated throughout the venue, is always an incredibly rewarding experience
